It’s the last month of the year, which means it’s time for our wonderful guest writer Shirley to share her final thoughts of 2017. So, without further ado, we’ll let her take it from here…
Written by Shirley Salzedo.
As Christmas is just around the corner, I often like to reflect on the year that has been, the experiences that I’ve had and the memories that I’ve made. I’ve always been fond of the festive season and feel that it has a certain air of enchantment and magic about it. From the Christmas lights that twinkle through our streets, to the lights and decorations that adorn our homes – lights have a way of illuminating a dark winter and bringing brightness to the tale.
In many ways, I see the memories that we make in life in the same way – in that they are moments of happiness and joy that light up our lives in the special way that only they can. And this is something that through my blogging I feel I am able to share with you too – whether they be holiday memories of my time spent at Sandpipers, memories of my family history or even my time spent at music school – these beautifully wonderful moments have brought, and still do bring, light to my life and I feel so fortunate to have been able to share them with you all. I really do hope that you’ve all enjoyed reading each of my blogs this year and I am very much looking forward to continuing my writing next year.
But for now my friends, I would like to end my final blog of the year by sending you all my very best wishes at this magical time, and by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
