Antiques Roadshow’s John Bly and Andy McConnell expected to have raised £2,500 for charity.
TV stars John Bly and Andy McConnell headlined a fundraising event at Chigwell School on Saturday, in support of local respite holiday centre Jubilee Lodge.
The event, an evening with the Antiques Roadshow’s John and Andy and billed as ‘Bly & Bonkers’, was organised by the Friends of Jubilee Lodge and is expected to raise in the region of £2,500 for the centre.
The audience, a full house of around 180 people, enjoyed wine and canapés before being treated to an evening of reminiscences and anecdotes from Andy and John, who also fielded questions from the audience.
Ros Dover of the Friends of Jubilee Lodge, who jointly organised the event, said:
“What a wonderful evening. Andy and John were hugely entertaining and had the audience completely captivated. Best of all, through ticket sales and a raffle we think we raised around £2,500 for Jubilee Lodge, which does such amazing work supporting disabled people and carers from the region.”View all news stories →
