What is a respite holiday?

Everybody needs a proper holiday and that’s what we deliver. Respite breaks are vital to both disabled people and carers, with time away helping prevent the caring relationship from breaking down. The respite we offer is entirely different from what people traditionally think of — short-term relief for full-time carers, often in a clinical care facility.

Our purpose-built holiday centres provide full-board hospitality, live entertainment and excursions. We tailor our service to each guest and their individual care needs.

Who are respite holidays for?

We provide respite holidays for disabled people and carers aged 18 or over. Carers can choose to have a break with us too, but they are not required to. They are more than welcome to come along with the person they care for and have a proper holiday, while we take over the care.

How we cater for your individual needs

Our teams are experienced in supporting people with a variety of disabilities and care needs. Our approach is collaborative, working with you from the moment you book to ensure the support you receive at our centres is completely tailored to you.

Specialist breaks

We offer several specialist weeks throughout the year. These include our ever-popular youth weeks and our Treasured Moments weeks for Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Treasured Moments

Each year we run several Treasured Moments weeks, specially designed for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as their loved ones. The goal of the week is to rekindle and nurture relationships, by bringing people together while we take on the caring duties. Extra measures are taken during these weeks to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests. Additionally our staff are trained as Dementia Friends, providing additional support and reassurance.
