We invite you to support our vital work so we can continue to help those who need us most. Revitalise recognises that looking after a disabled loved one 24/7 can be very demanding. At Revitalise, both the carer and the cared for benefit from a break.
Revitalise can provide financial assistance so that anyone who needs a break but can’t afford one, is not denied the opportunity to refresh and re-energise.
Please help today If you are a member of a community club such as Rotary, Lions or WI, a member of a church or can propose us to your school, college, university – we ask you nominate us.
Rest Assured that 100% of your donation goes directly to help those in need of a respite holiday or supports the capital refurbishment projects of our three centres, not towards any of our core costs.
The impact of your gift
Jenny is 56 and is a full-time carer for her mother aged 88, who suffered a stroke and has been a wheelchair user for five years. Although the Council provides some support, they have no savings to draw on for a holiday and are not in receipt of any carer or severe disablement benefits. Jenny describes the difference a break will make, with support from Revitalise.
“This break will take the pressure off my every day caring duties. My mother and I have not had a holiday since her illness, due to her disability and it will be great to get out and about with different people and see the sights. This is a very special opportunity and precious time to spend together. After five years of my mother being in a wheelchair she has never left home for one night. This will be a fantastic treat for her to get away – and me.
My mother cannot speak but when I told her we would go on holiday she SMILED and her laughter said it all.”
Revitalise was created to support people like Jenny and her mother who just need that extra help. Without supporters like you we simply could not be there for the people who need us.
