Other ways to help

1 in 4 people in the UK is affected by disability – either they are disabled themselves or they care for someone who is. Revitalise helps thousands of disabled people and carers each year take much needed breaks but there are over 500,000 more in desperate need of support.

Revitalise ensures high quality care for disabled guests at our Centres, yet we receive no central government funding. Support us by reducing the cost of a break for someone who, without you, may never have access to a holiday.

Text giving

Giving by text is quick and simple and we receive 100% of your text donations. You can donate to our charity by texting REVI17 followed by the amount you wish to donate, to 70070.
You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. See full terms and conditions.

Payroll giving

By sharing a little bit of your pay every month you could be making a huge difference to another’s life. You can help us to support people affected by disability by making a regular contribution through your payroll.

For example, if you donate £10, only £8 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest. Or if you’re on a higher tax rate (40%), only £6 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest.

Share giving

Giving shares to Revitalise is one of the most tax-efficient ways to contribute to our work. When you make a gift of shares to a registered charity it is free from capital gains tax, and you, as the donor, can claim income tax relief on the value of the donated shares. This tax relief applies regardless of the total value of the shares, so it is a very effective way of giving.

How do I donate shares to Revitalise?

We are happy to guide you through the process of giving shares. For help and advice in donating shares direct to Revitalise please call our fundraising team on 0303 303 0145 or send an email. If you have only a few shares to give, particularly if the value is less than the costs of selling, it will be more effective to donate the shares to Sharegift. This charity amalgamates small share holdings and then sells through advantageous arrangements with brokers, the proceeds all being donated to charities. Revitalise has received regular donations from Sharegift, and you can nominate Revitalise to receive a gift when you donate shares.

Create an event

Organising an event in memory of your loved one is a great way to celebrate their life and raise money to help support so many more people.

Leave a lasting legacy

To the guests that come through our doors and the carers who love them, Revitalise is a safe haven and a lifeline, but there are almost 550,000 more people in the UK who could benefit from the joy of a Revitalise break. We believe that each of these people needs – and deserves – a break.

Legacy gifts allow us to do just that, to give essential breaks to so many who may never have been able to experience them. One third of our donated funds come from the generosity of guests, volunteers and supporters; people just like you, leaving a gift in their Will. Without these gifts Revitalise wouldn’t be here making a difference every day.

Make your gift worth 25% more without giving anything more

If you are considering making a legacy gift to Revitalise, and you are a UK tax payer, you can substantially increase the value of your gift, and benefit our work even more.

No tax can be reclaimed on a legacy received from an estate, but if you are paying UK tax, a Gift Aid Declaration enables Revitalise to reclaim tax that you have already paid and so increases the value of your gift by 25p in every pound.
