Post pandemic, we’re all going to be feeling a little more anxious. There is no shame in admitting that, for many of us, the fear of coronavirus and the consequent isolation has meant our mental health has taken a knock. But, as we start to gradually re-open our centres for holidays and look forward to even bigger and better things in 2021, we wanted to remind you of just how good a Revitalise holiday is for your mind. Here’s why…

Make Friends

Our guests are a fantastic and friendly bunch, and by holidaying with us you’ll become part of what we call the R Club, a community of likeminded people who make you feel at home and able to be completely yourself. Many of our guests return time and time again to reunite with old friends (be that fellow guests, team members or volunteers) and always have fun making new ones along the way too.

Face Your Fears

The science does the talking when it comes to the effect facing our fears and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones has on our mental health. Whether it’s challenging yourself to order your own drink at the bar or throwing yourself into an afternoon indoor skydiving (yes really!), our centres are the place to face those fears head on and reap the benefits afterwards.

Relax & Unwind

After several months of difficult times, perhaps you just need a week to relax and unwind away from it all. Choose between south coast sea breeze, lakeside views or lush countryside surroundings and let your worries start to fall away as you enjoy being fully supported in a beautiful setting. We also have plenty of relaxing activities like arts & crafts, meditation and hair & beauty treatments on offer.

Get Active

It’s a well-documented fact that exercise is great for mental health, producing serotonin in the brain that boosts our mood. If you’ve been unable to get out and about as much as you’d have liked over the last few months, you can make up for it with a Revitalise holiday full of action-packed activity. Dip in the hydrotherapy pool at Sandpipers, get competitive with a game of Boccia or go on an accessible bike ride – the choice is yours.

Eat Well

A Revitalise holiday is always fully inclusive of all meals, and we don’t do food by halves here. Our expert chefs rustle up delicious three-course dinners every night, and can cater for numerous dietary requirements as well as guests who need support at mealtimes. By fuelling your body with fresh, healthy food (and a few treats!) and you’ll also fuel your mind – win, win.

So, what are you waiting for?

We have already started to welcome people on respite breaks, but if you’d like to wait until more of the lockdown restrictions are lifted, join our wishlist and we’ll let you know when that happens. All you need to do is click here, tell us your name and the best way to contact you, and our team will be in touch when things are looking more normal.
