We are excited to be working with Freshscape, a professional landscape design company, to create a tranquil outdoor space for guests at Jubilee Lodge to enjoy.
As a follow up to the fantastic refurbishment of our restaurant, are working in partnership with professional designer Freshscape throughout June to upgrade our inner courtyard garden. Changes include a revamp to our much-loved pond that’s home to a number of koi fish, trained apple trees and lush planting providing beautiful splashes of colour.
The result: the ultimate space for tranquility.
Speaking of the partnership, Nick Fermor, founder at Freshscape commented:
“We’re constantly looking for opportunities to improve lives with the gardens that we create, so we’re delighted to have been asked to help with this project. The orchard themed inner courtyard garden will be a regenerating outdoor hub where the guests can relax and enjoy nature’s bounty.”
For many of us, gardening can be a great way to relax and while away the hours, but what if the therapeutic value of such an activity could actually be beneficial to our health, both mentally and physically? We regularly take our guests on excursions to visit Stately Homes and Gardens, and popular flower shows. That’s why we’ve invited our guest writer Shirley to share her thoughts on gardening and the power of the flower…
“My favourite garden has got to be Kew Gardens. I feel that Kew has a way of really igniting all the senses and that there is always something new to see with each passing season that truly is a feast for the eyes.”
“Whether one chooses to spend time creating a garden themselves or simply enjoys sitting in one to admire its beauty, there is a great sense of therapy to be found in being in a beautiful garden. After all, the gardens of England are to be enjoyed, to be sat in, admired, to be watched while they grow, to barbecue in, to play in, to discover and most importantly, to love.”
