Shirley is back! And this time she’s making some real noise at Sandpipers. We love having Shirley at our centre in Southport because of the joy and vibrant energy she brings. Music plays a big part of our holidays at each of our centres; Shirley has put together a list of her top 10 favourite songs that we can’t wait to share with you! She’s taking us back in time to the 60s and 70s. From folk to funk, with a little jazz and opera in the mix too, we hope everyone can enjoy boogieing to the beat.

So let’s pass the mic to Shirley. Take it away music maestro!

“I am a professional song and dance pianist, now from my wheelchair, and I met my best singing partner Sharon Angell in 1972. I have accompanied her beautiful singing voice for nearly 50 years, and we volunteer our music making together in churches, hospitals and care homes. Here are some of my favourite songs to cheer up your days, as music has been my greatest therapy in life. Here is our life in a song and dance.”
