I’m Leslie Sparkes (but call me Sparkey), I’m the Guest Relations Manager at Revitalise Sandpipers in Southport.

Since the pandemic began, we have been proud to support our guests with emergency respite, welcoming those that would be safer with us, or needed a place to isolate, or simply needed a change of scene.

Although guests have to isolate for one week on arrival, once that is over they can get outdoors and enjoy that fresh Southport air. Our terrace overlooks the Marine Lake, and we are lucky to see incredible sunsets most evenings. Sometimes it really helps during those tough days.

It hasn’t been easy at Sandpipers – especially being subject to the Government’s isolation guidelines which makes everything that much harder. I hope over the coming months we can continue to support those that need us.

I can’t bear to think of some of our guests or their families struggling at home, especially closer to Christmas time. We want them to know that we’re still here for them.
