If you’re looking for the ideal place to pick up that final Christmas present, or planning where to get your hands on the best January deals, look no further. From Jubilee Lodge, there are a huge range of places to grab a bargain, from huge malls like Westfield to iconic stores like Harrods. Here are our Top 5 Best Places to Shop in the South-East!

Westfield Stratford

1. Westfield Stratford

Named as one of the largest urban shopping centres in Europe and the 4th largest shopping centre in the UK, you’d be hard pressed to find anything that you can’t buy at Westfield Stratford. Relax in between purchases at one of the many restaurants or cafes, view a masterpiece at Castle Fine Art or just browse one of the many high street shops the centre has to offer. But Westfield is much more than a shopping destination too – take in the views of its next-door neighbours; West Ham’s football grounds, as well as the 2012 Olympic venues and the ArcelorMittal Orbit!

Intu Lakeside

2. Intu Lakeside

Built in a former chalk quarry and the first out-of-town shopping centre in Essex, Intu Lakeside has over 250 stores, 50 cafes and restaurants across the whole Lakeside complex and its retail parks. Browse Brompton Walk, throw pennies into the infamous fountains or dine by Alexandra Lake – the choice is yours!

Romford Market

3. Romford

Home to several different shopping centres and the famous market, Romford is your one-stop shop for everything from catching the latest cinema release to getting your hands on a market bargain. Visit The Liberty to find the perfect gift for that hard to buy for person in your life, explore the history of The Brewery (which was The Star Brewery and produced John Bull Bitter until 1993) or checkout Romford Shopping Hall which was first built in the 1920s!

Harrods

4. Harrods

Although you can no longer buy alligators, lions or baby elephants, this gilded shop is still well worth the visit. If browsing huge and boutique labels is your sort of thing, then there is nowhere better to do so than London’s (and perhaps the world’s) most famous department stor.. At the Kensington based shop, you can browse anything from Louis Vuitton to Sonos, Yves Saint Laurent makeup and perfume to Balmain children’s clothing and a toy section which could rival Hamley’s. And after you’ve shopped until your hearts content, you can explore the famous food hall and sample the world’s most expensive caviar or enjoy a champagne afternoon tea.

ICON Outlet at The O2

5. ICON Outlet at The O2

Although The O2 is best known for its history as the Millennium Dome and the incredible concerts which take place there almost every night, it is now home to ICON Outlet which opened in 2018. Home to the likes of Calvin Klein, Aspinal of London, Ted Baker and so much more, you can shop brands you love at up to 70% off. You can also kick back and enjoy one of the many restaurants which surround the famous O2 Arena, see the latest blockbuster in the 19-screen cinema, or get competitive with a game of bowling.
