Former West Ham footballer Kenny Brown visited Revitalise Jubilee Lodge to present cheque

Premiership footballer visited local respite holiday centre after having supported them at the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon.

Kenny Brown, former West Ham United defender and current Head of Coaching at Millwall Football Club, visited local respite holiday charity Revitalise Jubilee Lodge on Friday 11 May.

During his visit Kenny was taken on a guided tour of the centre, where he also had the opportunity to meet some Revitalise guests, to see how his support would make a difference.

Kenny then presented a cheque for £3,300 to Revitalise’s staff, including CEO Chris Simmonds, thanks to his efforts at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon. To round off the afternoon, Kenny enjoyed afternoon tea as a thank you for his support.

Speaking of his reasons for choosing to support Revitalise at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon, Kenny commented:

It has been a privilege to work with the people at Revitalise and generate much-needed funds and awareness for such a great charity. I was uninformed and uneducated regarding the hours and stresses involved in the caring of loved ones and what they have to commit to.

“If the small funding I have generated can make a difference to just one person then it has all been worthwhile. Creating awareness of the total commitment and selflessness required of the carers is so important…”

Just like Kenny, you could experience the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2019 as part of Team Revitalise. For more information contact our Events Team: or call: 0207 688 6897.
