Our respite holidays for people with dementia offer a welcome break backed by the reassurance of personalised care support. Our centres are fully accessible, with an expert team of care and nursing professionals, giving you the space to enjoy a proper holiday.
Book NowFor nearly 60 years we have provided fun and relaxing respite holidays for disabled adults and carers, including those with Dementia. We know that breaks are vital for wellbeing and we believe everyone should have access to time away.
Our respite holidays offer something entirely unique to what people traditionally think of. We are the only charity in the UK that provides a proper holiday experience combined with expert care support. Furthermore, we personalise our service to each guest and their individual care needs.
It’s a wonderful thing to love someone and to look after them. But it’s also important and healthy to look after yourself. That’s why Revitalise offers specialist Treasured Moments weeks for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia and their companions.
Learn more“Thinking back to the first time we went and the first day it seemed all the other carers all knew each other. But then by the end of the first day I felt like part of the Sandpipers family. The support of meeting other carers is really great. You get so much from spending time with other carers. There’s no way John could voice his opinion, but he’s very smiley and you can see it on his face when the young volunteers chat with him. I know he loves it.”
— Jean, wife of Revitalise guest Jon who has vascular dementia
Our purpose-built holiday centres each offer a unique experience in a fully accessible, hospitality setting. We are fully equipped with everything you need to have a wonderful break with round-the-clock care.
*Available by prior arrangement only. Airflow mattresses incur a supplement of £40 for up to 7 nights. Use of hoists is dependent on Care Support Package.
