Our current situation

We’re currently offering breaks at our Sandpipers centre. These breaks are designed to give you a change of scenery where you can rely on expert care in fully accessible surroundings.

We’re thrilled that our breaks no longer have any isolation period whatsoever, which means your relaxing stay at Revitalise can begin straight away. Your health and safety is our number one priority which is why measures such as temperature checks, social distancing and Covid-19 tests are in place for your peace of mind.

Our expert team are also working hard to plan activities and entertainment during your stay that will leave you feeling truly revitalised. Plus our hydrotherapy pool is open for swims too.

This funding is designed to help us support disabled people and carers when they need us most, and means we have been able to subsidise the cost of our respite breaks, so that more people than ever can experience a Revitalise stay.

Supporting disabled people and the NHS through the pandemic

Over the last year we are proud to have navigated our way through Covid-19, and like many other organisations we had to adapt significantly. Jubilee Lodge and Netley Waterside House have both been supporting the NHS for several months now; welcoming patients who do not have the virus and freeing up essential beds in local hospitals for those that do. To all of our frontline staff, thank you.

We currently have a restriction on all non-essential staff in the centres so visitors will not be able to come to you. However, we know many guests like to see family and friends during their stay and this may be something we can offer depending on the local rules around each centre.

There is no isolation required at home, or on arrival.

Yes. Before you visit us we will ask you to take a Covid-19 test, no less than 3 days before your break. This is a nose and throat swab test which our Sandpipers will send to you. Once you receive your result, give the Sandpipers team a quick call or email.

In 2021 we hope to begin offering themed weeks again, with safely adapted activities and entertainment.

However, this will be subject to change depending on the up to date government guidance at the time.

We have implemented all the necessary coronavirus safety measures at our centres, including setting up ways that we can socially distance guests.

Other measures in place include temperature checks, social bubbling and a restriction on all non-essential staff in the centres. We will also stagger the arrival of our guests and limit the number staying in each centre at any one time, to ensure social distancing is always manageable.

At Revitalise our absolute clear priorities are your health and safety when staying with us, hopefully giving you the confidence to take a safe break at Revitalise when you can.

We are regularly in touch with the UK government to follow their guidance and are updating things daily in our centres to minimise the risks. We are also following government advice for organisations that provide care, to make sure we are doing things right.

If you develop symptoms of Covid-19 in the two weeks before your break, then you should not visit Revitalise.
In this situation, our Book With Confidence Guarantee means you can cancel or amend your stay, with absolutely no amendment fees. To rearrange or cancel your break you should call our bookings team on 0303 303 0145 or email them at bookings@revitalise.org.uk.

At Revitalise we are following government advice for organisations that provide care, to make sure we are doing things right. We are supporting as many of our teams as we can to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, but it may not be appropriate for everybody.

All our staff will continue to use full PPE and follow our infection control procedures regardless of whether they have been vaccinated, in line with the most up to date government guidance to keep our guests safe.
