Other ways to support Revitalise as a Corporate Partner

Staff Volunteering and Engagement

Volunteering at a Revitalise Centre is all about helping our guests get the most out of their break. Your colleagues and staff can be a part of this and benefit from gaining a wealth of skills and unique experiences in the process.

Of those people who have volunteered through our Team Volunteer days:

  • 98% felt their team work improved
  • 93% felt an increase in self confidence
  • 91% felt communication skills improved

We are committed to offering our guests the freedom, choice and independence that is often lacking in their day-to-day lives. We simply cannot do this without the help of incredible volunteers.

As a Corporate Partner, there are lots of ways your staff can get involved and we can work together to design a volunteer framework that fits around what you want your staff to gain, whilst maximising the respite holiday experience of our guests. All our volunteers receive a short induction before volunteering to ensure they are confident and comfortable in their role.

*Please note that due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, we are currently unable to offer corporate volunteering

Payroll giving

Encourage employee participation in your corporate partnership by setting up and encouraging payroll giving. By sharing a little bit of pay every month, your team can make a huge difference to another’s life. Help us to support disabled people with regular, automatic contributions through your payroll.

For example, by donating £10, only £8 comes out of salary, while the other £2 is covered by tax. For those on a higher tax rate (40%), only £6 comes out of salary and the taxman pays the rest.

Share giving

Giving shares to Revitalise is one of the most tax-efficient ways to contribute to our work. When you make a gift of shares to a registered charity, it is free from capital gains tax. The donor can claim income tax relief on the value of the donated shares. This tax relief applies regardless of the total value of the shares, so it is a very effective way of giving.

How do I donate shares to Revitalise?

We are happy to guide you through the process of giving shares. For help and advice in donating shares directly to Revitalise, please call our fundraising team on 0303 303 0145 or send an email. If you have only a few shares to give — particularly if the value is less than the costs of selling — it will be more effective to donate the shares to Sharegift. This charity amalgamates small shareholdings and then sells through advantageous arrangements with brokers, with the proceeds all being donated to charities. Revitalise has received regular donations from Sharegift, and you can nominate Revitalise to receive a gift when you donate shares.
