About us

Revitalise is a national charity of over 60 years and the leading UK provider of breaks and holidays with care for disabled people. We offer a completely unique take on respite in our purpose-built holiday centres — Jubilee Lodge in Chigwell and Sandpipers, in Southport.

Our Emergency Respite provision

Benefits for you and your clients

We provide both emergency respite care and step-down services, including the following:

  • Registered Nurses and Care Assistants who can support complex needs and are fully trained, including in Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Person-centred approach tailored to the needs of each guest.
  • We will work collaboratively with you to achieve the best outcomes for your clients.
  • Rates tailored to the needs of each guest.
  • Negotiable discounts for long-term packages or block bookings.

Our Pricing

Our care packages are individually tailored. Our typical prices are:

  • Bed and Board, including trips, daily activities and entertainment: £1350 a week
  • Care and support: £260 – £1300 a week depending on care support needed
  • 1:1 Support: £25 an hour (if required)
  • Speedy boarding: £500 if placement is required within 24 hours notice
  • Transport: costed on case by case basis

    Recent Placements

    Harrow Council

    Mr G required a respite care placement to provide his wife and children a break from caring and to give him a change of environment. He is living with epilepsy, impaired cognition and depression, for which he is under medical supervision. He has right-sided weakness arising from a stroke and is at risk of falls. He came to Jubilee Lodge in June for 14 nights.

    Recent Placements

    NHS North East London

    Ms F required a respite care placement. She has complex needs and needs 1-2-1 support and hoisting. She attended Jubilee Lodge for three nights as a trial, and subsequently stayed a further seven nights. She is now booked in for a further five short respite breaks.

  • Care support for older man

    Recent Placements

    London Borough of Havering

    Mr E required a respite care placement to provide his wife with a break from her care responsibilities, as another family member needed 1:1 care following a sports-related injury. He had a stroke three years ago leaving him with left sided paralysis. The request for a placement came in April and he attended Jubilee Lodge that same day for 14 nights.

    Sandpipers guest

    Miss P required an emergency respite care placement that offered consistency of care. Her residential college placement had come to an end and her local authority were in the process of finding her a long-term Supported Living placement. She has complex care needs and no other local provider was able to meet them.

Who are respite holidays for?

We provide respite holidays for disabled people and carers aged 18 or over. Carers can choose to have a break with us too, but they are not required to. They are more than welcome to come along with the person they care for and have a proper holiday, while we take over the care.
