For 60 years we have provided fun and relaxing respite holidays for disabled adults and carers, including those with Dementia. We know that breaks are vital for wellbeing and we believe everyone should be able to take a break.
Our respite holidays offer something entirely unique. We are the only charity in the UK that provides a proper holiday experience combined with expert care support. We personalise our service to each guest and their individual care needs.

Every year we provide special weeks, called Treasured Moments, for people with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia to take with their loved ones. The aim of these breaks is simple: to create a supportive but stimulating environment where carers and their loved ones can rediscover a loving connection as husband and wife, father and daughter, mother and son, while we take on the caring duties.
Our centres are purpose-built and fully-accessible and every aspect of your holiday is tailored to your loved one’s needs. The relaxed settings and newly-refurbished rooms provide the perfect place to get away from it all. But it is our friendly and expert holiday care team and nurses that set our holidays apart: at Revitalise, you can rest assured that your loved one will be in safe hands.
What you can expect on your Treasured Moments break
- Welcome reception dinner — Just for companions to socialise with like-minded people, knowing that your loved one is being looked after
- Full-board hospitality — Cooked breakfasts, delicious light lunches and three course dinners.
- Live evening entertainment — Live bands, film nights, day activities, quizzes and more.
- Expert care support — Throughout your stay, our care team is there to ensure you have the support you need for a safe, and brilliant holiday.
- Excursions and day trips — Visits to museums, galleries, shopping outlets and theatre for you to enjoy together or separately.
