Learn moreFind out how you can complete your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with Revitalise, where you can gain life skills, enhance your CV and make a difference, supporting disabled people and carers.
Book your volunteer placeThe Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) provides a balanced programme of activities for participants aged between 14-24, giving young people the opportunity to develop skills for life and career through team working and social interaction.
Revitalise is an Approved Activity Provider for the DofE, welcoming volunteers who are completing the residential placement of their Gold DofE Award. Join us for a 7-night volunteering stay with full room and board provided, free of charge and help support our guests to enjoy an amazing holiday.
We pride ourselves on providing fun and relaxing respite breaks for disabled people and carers. You will play a vital role in this, by supporting our guests and ensuring that they have a great holiday.
As a residential volunteer there will be plenty of socialising too, as you will be providing companionship and practical help on excursions and activities. You’ll also make new friends, enhance your CV, gain confidence and learn valuable skills.
Our vision is to create a society in which every disabled person and every carer is able to take the break or holiday they want. By volunteering in our centres, you’ll have a direct impact on making that happen.
Nothing! Volunteering with us is free. All your meals, accommodation and any excursions you go on with guests are covered by us. You will just need to cover the costs of your transport to the centre.
If you wish, you can raise funds by sponsorship and donations to help cover these costs. This can make a big difference in keeping our costs down. You can donate here or learn more about fundraising opportunities in our Fundraising Pack.
Please note — as a requirement of your DofE placement, you should not know anyone else in your residential placement. Volunteering with Revitalise will not count towards your DofE placement if you volunteer with a friend, or as part of a school or college group. If you do attend with a school or college group and enjoy the experience, we’d love for you to return and complete your DofE residential placement with Revitalise.
