Duties
You will be supporting customers, accepting, sorting and pricing donations and generally making our Revitalise shops a friendly and welcoming place.
Our Revitalise shops not only raise vital funds for our charity, but aim to be at the heart of the Hampshire community.
Volunteering at one of our charity shops is a great way to support our vital work and get work experience, while gaining valuable retail and communication skills. You’ll also meet new people, boost your confidence and give something back to your local community!
There are a number of flexible roles available in our shops, including retail volunteers. You don’t need any qualifications and we will provide on-the-job training. For paid opportunities, please check out our Job Vacancies page.

Our Revitalise shops are in the South of England. Please visit our Charity Shops page for more information, locations and contact details.
Our shops are open 9.00am – 4.00pm (although some shops have longer hours) and we can offer flexible and part-time hours to best suit your schedule.
There are many reasons why you might choose to volunteer with us. You’ll make new friends, enhance your CV, gain confidence and learn valuable skills that can be applied to life and your career.
Our vision is to create a society in which every disabled person and every carer is able to take the break or holiday they want. By volunteering in our charity shops, you’ll have a direct impact on making that happen.
“Revitalise has done so much for us and I wanted to give something back, so I decided to volunteer at the Revitalise charity shop in New Milton. I’m there every Friday morning, and happy to go more often when I can. I love my job and work with such a lovely team there. Over the years I’ve also developed a real network of support and friendships with the other Revitalise volunteers and customers. I’m 70 years old, so the shop keeps me young, it keeps me busy, but I also feel that I am giving something back to such a wonderful organisation.”
— Sue, shop volunteer and mum of Hannah, a Revitalise guest
Every individual is unique, and it’s important to understand whether a volunteering placement at Revitalise, aligns with your interests and capabilities. Whether you personally have a disability or not, we strive to accommodate everyone, ensuring all are welcome.
We encourage applications from individuals with disabilities and carefully assess each application to determine if our volunteer centres can meet your requirements and what adjustments we can make where needed. In some cases this might involve inviting you to consider a different role to that which first attracted you. For example, if you have a physical disability that would make it challenging for you to directly support our guests in a residential placement in our holiday centres, you may want to support our social media work, send thank you letters to donors or support our community fundraising.
Volunteer with disabled people at one of our centres and join the largest residential volunteering programme of any UK charity.
